Jesus, the unknown savior
In religious circles there is much talk of a known Jesus, and little talk of another called Christ. The first is well accepted, but the other is not. Let us clarify.
People who consider themselves Christians promote a man who was born in Palestine, whose story is recorded in the Holy Scriptures and who is considered the savior of mankind.
His birth is celebrated every year on a certain date, although there is no historical record of it.
This Jesus is well accepted by countless people, who usually make an effort to publicize it and even make a living out of it. After all, they believe that this is the good news that the angels gave to the shepherds about his birth. Although this was good news given by the angels at the time, THE GOOD NEWS announced by the prophet Isaiah does not correspond to this, but to the ETERNAL GOSPEL, which had already been announced to Abraham, one of the patriarchs, before the nation of Israel existed, whose patriarch was his son, Jacob.
And this gospel was ratified on Mount Sinai to the nation coming out of Egypt by the hand of Moses, and pronounced aloud by God Himself, who also wrote it on tablets of stone.
The Jesus who also bears the name CHRIST is little known and also little accepted by those whose work it is to make known the other of whom we spoke at the beginning.
For this Jesus, the Christ, has laws which he requires to be obeyed as the apple of his eye. Proverbs 7:2. And these laws are not well accepted nor perfectly understood by all who claim to believe in him.
This Jesus said that “whosoever believeth on him, as the scripture hath said, streams of living water shall flow out of his belly unto eternal life.” John 7:38.
Therefore it is necessary to know well what they say of him, to know him well, for he will say to many at his coming “I know you not, depart from me ye cursed.” And to know him is to keep his commandments, the decalogue, which are the good news of salvation, or the everlasting gospel. 1 John 2:3. Revelation 14:6.
