CRUEL SYMBOLOGY
The spiritual world has its symbology, and even if it doesn't translate the will of the person who inadvertently uses it, since they can do so ignorantly, it still links them to their inspirer and subjects them to it.
Thus, many people are subject to the powers of darkness, to Satan's kingdom, because they use symbols that represent him or that translate his evil feelings and intentions.
One of these symbols, which has been used as a famous and valued brand by those who have been blinded by the prince of this world, is the thunderbolt or element, also called the “zoomp”. This symbol characterizes Satan himself, who took it over after Jesus' revelation to his disciples.
When Jesus sent them to the villages where he was going, and gave them the power to heal, after their return they said to him: "Lord, even the demons submit to us. And Jesus said to them, “Do not marvel at this, for I saw Satan like lightning falling before you.” Luke 10:18.
But there are other, more subtle symbols, which are used and which have important and even determining meanings in people's character and behavior, as well as in their lives, be they family, business, sentimental, etc.
These include earrings, bracelets, cords, rings and toe chains. They all have their meanings.
The earring is a symbol of submission to the master who pierced his ear with an awl at the door of his house, so that he may be his servant forever. Ex. 21:6. In addition to being a fad, it is cultivated by pagan peoples, and causes uncircumcision of the ear to hear the word of the Lord, making the one who wears them a forgetful listener, not allowing him to be as Moses recommended: "If you diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to keep his commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will exalt you above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you when you listen to the voice of the Lord your God." And James says: “But he who takes heed to the perfect law of liberty and perseveres in it, not being a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his deed.” James 1:25.
Bracelets are replicas of chains, with which slaves were bound so as not to run away from their masters and their dominion. In addition to this meaning, it makes the person who wears them a prey to Satan, since they are practices of those who live in the darkness of sin. Those who wear them are not freed from Christ, because they are still subject to the world and its fantasies and practices. He wants to show off, to appear to be what he is not, and does not obey what Scripture says: “Be as simple as doves.” In the great tribulation he will suffer the punishments foreseen and determined by God through the prophet Isaiah. Is. 3:16-26.
The cords are also replicas of chains, and have the same meaning. They have a place not only around the neck, but also in the hearts of those who wear them, not letting Christ be their only treasure. Wisdom is the main thing; it is worth more than jewels and rubies. It represents Christ, and should occupy our hearts.
Rings are symbols of a covenant, of an alliance, and represent a covenant with the kingdom of darkness and its prince. This practice is condemned by scripture, which says: "Let not the adorning of women be outward, in the curling of the hair, in the wearing of gold jewels, in the neatness of the apparel; but let it be the adorning of a man covered up in the heart, in the incorruptible apparel of a meek and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. For in this manner were the holy women adorned of old, who hoped in God, and were subject to their own husbands." I Pet. 3:3-5.
In addition to these symbols, there are others, such as ribbons worn on the wrist, as a reminder or souvenir. As a rule, they have sayings that link the wearer to the one who created this device. There is one who dares to say the name of the hoaxer: a certain lord of the good end. But since he is the father of lies, he oppresses his servants and gives them a bad end.
It used to be easy to tell a harlot from another woman by her attire. Today they are almost all the same. Scripture, speaking of the adulterous woman, says that she adorns herself after the fashion of prostitutes. It follows that prostitutes have their own way of dressing.
But the servants of the Lord Jesus have been set free by him, and as new creatures they have put off the old things, the old man, and behold, all things have become new. For the Holy Spirit inspired John to say: “Do not love the world or anything in the world; if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” I Jn 2:15 and 16.
“The world is passing away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” I Jn 2:17.
