Do you govern yourself, or are you a puppet?
The psalmist David asked God to guide him along the path of righteousness. Why, did he not know how to conduct himself? Is it possible to be led astray by someone else? Let's see.

When Eve spoke with the serpent in the Garden of Eden, he asked her a question and made her a proposal. Eve could have remained steadfast and not acquiesced to the idea of an animal. After all, he could not know better than God. Little did she know that the animal was only the instrument used in the evil strategy. Thus, both the serpent and Eve were used as instruments of inducement and persuasion.

As a result, Cain was also a victim, even though God had warned him directly about what could happen if he did not control himself.

He was, organically, the son of Adam and Eve, but spiritually, he was the son of the evil one; that is why he was used to kill his brother Abel, who had done him no harm. And he became a son of the evil one because of his carelessness in his conduct toward God's law. This is implied in what God said to him when He said, “If you do GOOD, will your sacrifice not be accepted?” GOOD is one of the adjectives of God's law, as can be seen in Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians 7:7-23.
Thus, we can see that if there is no serious obedience to God's Law or Commandments, man's enemy can induce him to do his will, manipulating the disobedient to do things he never imagined or desired.

This is why feelings of evil desires have been confused with love, leading many to form emotional relationships with people of the same sex. Their hearts are being manipulated like puppets. This is evident in the biblical text in which the apostle Paul speaks of the consequences of rejecting God's law. That God gives such people over to a depraved mind, to do things that are not proper; and that such people are filled with all kinds of evil. I will quote some of these things listed in Paul's letter.
Romans 1:28 AND BECAUSE THEY REJECTED THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, GOD DELIVERED THEM TO A REPROVABLE WAY OF THINKING, TO PRACTICE THINGS THAT ARE NOT CONVENIENT. 29 They are filled with all kinds of injustice, perversity, greed, and wickedness. They are filled with envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are slanderers, 30 backbiters, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, proud, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, disloyal, without natural affection, and without mercy.

And these are worthy of what is said next, see:

“Although they know God’s judgment, that THOSE WHO PRACTICE SUCH THINGS ARE DESERVING OF DEATH, they not only do them, but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:32.

So, if you have been a victim of any of these feelings, accept the only thing that can truly free you from such desires and actions, and make you authentic and original, without manipulation: the Law or commandments of God, which is the Decalogue or Ten Commandments. Exodus 20:2-17.
