Do you truly love Jesus?
All who consider themselves Christians say they love the Master Jesus. But is this true? How can we truly love Him as He said we should?

Human beings are full of presumption, and in this condition they always seek to exempt themselves from their duties, especially if they find a way to do so. Thus, with regard to God's law, countless people seek to exempt themselves from the duty to obey it, citing a wide variety of reasons, even though a biblical text states that “it is the duty of every man to obey it.” Ecclesiastes 12:13.

Those who claim that God's law has been abolished give various reasons for this. Among these reasons, they claim that the Ten Commandments were the laws of Moses; they also claim that what they call “the old commandment” has been abolished; or that it is enough to love Jesus; or that Jesus made all things new; also that He summarized the commandments into two, etc.

All these prejudices are spurious and have no biblical basis. They were engendered by false teachers, who were deceived by man's arch-enemy. Their religions are based on deceptive sophistry, which cannot withstand serious and honest confrontation in the light of the Holy Scriptures.

Now, the law of God is not from Moses, for it was not Moses who cried out from heaven on Mount Sinai and said, “I am the Lord your God.” And he proceeded to dictate his laws. Moses did not write them on stone tablets either, but God Himself did so with His own fingers. Exodus 20:1-17.

“The Lord gave me the two stone tablets, written with the finger of God. On them were all the words the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire, when all the people were assembled.” Deuteronomy 9:10.

Nor could God have abolished the law that He affirms more than ten times is eternal. Furthermore, the contention and resistance is only in relation to obedience to the Sabbath, the fourth commandment of God's law.

When Moses broke the tablets of the commandments, it was not he who rewrote them on stone tablets, but God Himself. What Moses wrote was the book with the laws that were mediated by angels, as stated in Acts 7:53.

He also transcribed God's laws in his book. The laws of Moses were canceled only in terms of ordinances, see:

“Christ abolished THE LAW of commandments in the form of ORDINANCES, so that from the two he might create in himself a new humanity, making peace.” Ephesians 2:15.

Canceling the debt that was against us and consisted of ORDINANCES, which was harmful to us, he removed it entirely, nailing it to the cross." Colossians 2:14.

And there is much evidence that God's laws or commandments are in force. However, a few biblical texts left by Jesus and the Holy Spirit are enough to overturn the sophistry of the uneducated and those who contradict the word of God. See:

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; ABIDE IN MY LOVE. IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, YOU WILL ABIDE IN MY LOVE, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.” John 15:9.

The Holy Spirit says that the commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3.

And He tells us what the proof of our love for Jesus is. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” John 14:15.

And He affirms that: “Whoever says he knows Him but does not keep His commandments is a liar and does not have the truth.” 1 John 2:3.

Therefore, do not be led astray by the cunning and sophistical arguments of false teachers, who have been deceived by the god of this age.
